In
General
The
house is located on the first block of Mott Avenue about a hundred
steps
from Seabright Beach and is not on a main road so traffic noise is not
a
problem.
The
house has a keyless entry system with digital keypad. We will provide
you
with an access code to enter prior to your arrival.
Bed
Linens and bath towels are provided to accommodate up to seven guests.
basic cleaning supplies, laundry soap, paper towels, bath
tissue, etc. are
provided. Daily or mid-week housekeeping is available upon request for
an
extra charge.
The
bedrooms are carpeted. Upstairs living area have hardwood bamboo
floors. Bathrooms, and the downstairs
hall are tile and the kitchen has a marble floor.
High
speed cable modem Internet is available and included. You can connect
either
with a wired connection, available throughout the house, or via Wi-fi.
An
access code to the secure Wi-fi connection will be provided with your
check
in confirmation. There is also a computer at the house for your
use.
A
central heating system is available that serves both floors. Also, the
upstairs gas fireplace provides atmosphere and warmth.
Our
telephone system is VoIP (Voice Over the Internet), therefore all long
distance
calls to the United States and Canada, parts of Europe are FREE. You do
not need to use your
phone card.
No
pets are allowed.
No
Smoking is allowed, anywhere inside the house, the garage, or on either
outside deck.
Check
in time is 3 PM, check out is no later than 10 AM. The period
after
checkout at 10 AM and 3 PM is utilized by the cleaning service to
prepare
for the next guests. We apologize but there are no exceptions to the
check
in time or check out time.
Sleeping accommodations
The home will accommodate up to seven guests.
The master bedroom downstairs has a California King sized bed
with
a simmons padded matress. If you would like, small children can sleep
in
the master bedroom also.There is a portable futon available that can be
used
as a twin or full size bed and placed on the floor.
The second bedroom downstairs has both a comfortable full size
bed and a twin bed.
Upstairs in the sunroom there is a large futon that lets down
into a twin size bed.
In the living room upstairs there is a huge L shaped built-in
sofa
with very high quality cushions that are very comfortable for sleeping
and
can be quickly made into two single beds. One cushion measures 7 1/2
feet long and
the other is 6 1/2 feet long and both are 3 feet wide and 8 inches
thick. This isn't like sleeping
on one of those uncomfortable fold out sofa beds.
Upstairs
Area - Description
The
living spaces of this home are located upstairs to take advantage of
the
fantastic white water views, of the Monterey Bay, the beautiful cypress
trees, and above the neighborhood roof-tops and the Seabright
neighborhood. You are higher than any neighbors making it very private
without closing any shades.
The
upstairs area is large, open and very bright. At almost 600 square
feet,
this large living area includes the living room, kitchen area, dining
area,
sun room area and a convenient half bath. The area upstairs
features
11, (yes eleven) skylights and nineteen windows so perhaps it maybe we
should consider the whole upstairs a sun room! Not to worry, there are
shades if it’s just too much!
The
rooftop deck is 275 square feet,
and is accessible right outside the upstairs living room where you can
relax,
listen and look at the ocean and also enjoy great views of the
Seabright
neighborhood. The deck enclosure design
provides maximum privacy from close in neighbors yet maintains 100% of
the surrounding rooftop, cypress trees, beach and ocean view. The
capped, glass top railing also provides fabulous shelter from breezes
on those cooler days, making the deck functional even during less than
ideal weather. There are two very nice swivel rocking deck chairs and
two very comfortable upright chairs. There is a round glass top table
with umbrella, and a Weber gas BBQ. Watch
the sailboats and sunset while enjoying a glass of wine or snack.
Indirect
outdoor lighting provides plenty of light for evening enjoyment as well.
The
Upstairs gourmet Kitchen is king in this house.
This kitchen has all the
amenities of one of those kitchens you see on HGTV, but with something
they don’t have, a view of the sailboats and crashing surf of
Seabright Beach! You see
the mountains and Monterey across the bay. Granite countertops,
granite,
wall cap and on the back splash walls and along with a marble floor
start
the kitchen tour. A Dacor 4 burner gas range with large capacity
convection
oven gets you cooking. The quiet Vent-A-Hood exhaust fan allow the
chef to be part of the family vacation experience as the kitchen is
open
to the entire upstairs living area. A large capacity refrigerator
featuring
an automatic ice maker and outside door ice/water service will hold it
all
for you. Both the sink and refrigerator feature filtered drinking water
for
added convenience. Plenty of utensils, pots & pans, bake ware,
blender,
toaster, coffee maker, microwave, etc. are available for the ultimate
gourmet
kitchen away from home. Skylights, windows and beautiful inset
and indirect lighting bring a touch of elegance to this culinary corner
of
the house.
The
Upstairs Dining area
is steps away from the kitchen and provides views of the white-water
surf
and neighborhood views. East and south facing windows here allow the
morning
sun to come through and get your spirit going. The dining table has six
chairs
and the breakfast bar lining the south wall has two comfortable rocker
stools.
The
Sun Room area
is a small, intimate space on the south (beach) side of the upstairs
that features
a built-in breakfast bar right below the windows and two
plush, padded swivel stools for you to enjoy coffee in the mornings
while looking out at the bay. The sun room area is on the ocean (south)
side with six skylights and eight windows! (with blinds for those who
need
them.)
The
living room contains
a large “L” shaped built in sofa, a gas fireplace, 47 inch
High Definition LCD television (1080p)
and
multi-media entertainment center with built in Boston speakers. Record
your favorate programs on the Comcast DVR. To round out the luxury of
the living
room, there is a Human Touch electric massage recliner chair for
complete
relaxation! (see picture of living
room at top of page).
The
half bath provides convenience when you just
don’t want to leave the peace
and tranquility of watching and listening to the surf from your
upstairs paradise.
Downstairs
Area - Description
The
downstairs Master Suite is large, with an open
ceiling and overhead
fan. You’ll see an interesting vaulted ceiling in the
bedroom
(and the master bath as well). A nice deck right through the French
slider in this bedroom provides a great social space for sunny
afternoons,
visiting with beach-goers strolling by. Two more very comfortable,
padded
outdoor rocker chairs and table provide space for you to sip wine, read
a
good book and just hang out. Watch TV or DVDs on the 37” LCD TV. Pipe in
your favorite music from upstairs on the Boston Speakers built in to
the wall.
The master bathroom is large and
spacious, with a two person Jacuzzi brand spa tub and a large walk-in
glass block shower
. Finished with beautiful imported Italian tile and details like
the ultra-quiet exhaust fan, window and opening sky light, piped in
music
linked to the home entertainment system, ambient indirect lighting with
dimmers
make this a great room to enjoy, not just a bathroom to use. Pipe

The
second bedroom has a comfortable, double bed, and a
twin bed plus
and built in cabinetry for ample storage This room features a unique
ceiling design which was a result of the remodeling
project. The roof-top deck is above this room so added support was
needed
yet we tried to maximize the amount of light and open space for the

A
private second bathroom directly across the door way of the second
bedroom is
entrance to the second bath. This bath features a glass shower enclosure.

About Downstairs
Both
bedrooms have more than adequate closet and storage space.
Both
bedrooms and the master bath have built in Boston speakers with volume
controls
and are connected to the upstairs music system.
The
garage (a garage is almost unheard of in Seabright) provides added
convenience
and security. You can also park in front of the garage.
A
full capacity washer and dryer, ironing board are in the laundry room
which is in the garage.
It
is really small but there
is a narrow walk through garden that forms the “back yard”
of the
house. Almost 100% of the lighting in the home is varible. Perfect to
set the mood.
